Administrative Associate III - Assistant to the Chair
General Requirements
Associates degree in Business, Business Administration, Healthcare related areas, or related field. Bachelor's degree preferred. Four years relevant administrative assistant experience or experience in a related field. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties
Performs complex administrative assistant duties for the Department of Physical Therapy and supports the administrative functions of our pre-accreditation status Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program.
Primary Responsibilities
Performs complex administration support duties for the Department of Physical Therapy. Maintains departmental records and provides comprehensive administrative support to the Department Chair and faculty while ensuring compliance with Commission of Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). Provides departmental or university information to students, departments, and staff. Schedules and coordinates departmental meetings, activities, faculty searches, and special events. Reviews, revises, and interprets policies and procedures. Compiles, tracks, and reviews data and reports. Prepares, reviews, revises and distributes documents and correspondence for and on behalf of the department. Supports student services including admissions processes, academic records, and student communications. Assists with budget management, purchasing (Bearkat buy), and financial reporting. Class scheduling and room scheduling is required. Travels procedures and policies are required with Chrome river. Coordinates clinical education site agreements and documentation. Prepares correspondence, reports, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders. Serves as liaison between department, college administration, and university offices. Supports faculty hiring processes and personnel documentation. Maintains confidential student and faculty records in compliance with FERPA and other regulations. Performs other related duties as assigned.
