  • Base salary will be in the range $93,491 - $100,296 + 17% Superannuation (HEW Level 6)
  • Based at our St. Lucia Campus

Step into a pivotal advisory role that shapes the employee experience across one of Australia’s leading universities! As the Advisor, HR Client Partnering, you will be the trusted first point of contact for staff and leaders, delivering clear, confident and timely HR guidance that enables high-quality decision-making and smooth operational outcomes.

In this role, you’ll work at the heart of a collaborative and expert HR ecosystem; providing technical advice across the full employee lifecycle, supporting key initiatives that drive organisational capability, and helping embed consistent, people-centred practice across UQ.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide timely, accurate and practical HR advice to staff and supervisors across a diverse client group, ensuring consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
  • Act as a trusted adviser on a wide range of HR matters, including recruitment, appointments, performance management, case management and employee relations issues.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and work closely with HR colleagues to deliver a seamless, high-quality advisory and service experience.
  • Support the implementation of HR initiatives, knowledge resources and continuous improvement activities to enhance service delivery and the overall client experience.

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business or a related field, coupled with relevant experience in HR advisory or service delivery roles.
  • Demonstrated experience providing end-to-end HR policy advice and operational support across the full employee lifecycle within established policy frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgement when managing sensitive or complex HR matters.
  • Proven ability to build trusted relationships with stakeholders at all levels and provide balanced, practical and solutions-focused advice.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills that support effective decision-making and the successful implementation of HR initiatives.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, complex organisational environment, demonstrating adaptability, service orientation and a commitment to continuous improvement.

The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including right to work in Australia and a criminal check
