Scope of Job:
The successful candidate will be prepared to teach in the Vackar College of Business and Entrepreneurship undergraduate and graduate programs, conduct scholarly and applied research, and engage in service-related activities. The successful candidate will also have primary teaching and research interests in International Business and Accounting or finance. They will play a fundamental role in guiding the nascent program with 250 majors to become the region's leading source of international business knowledge.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: PhD or DBA in International Business, or International Accounting (or related field) from an AACSB-accredited institution.
Preferred Qualifications Assistant Professor:
- An earned doctorate (Ph.D. or DBA) in Entrepreneurship, Management or a closely related discipline from an AACSB accredited institution (or equivalent)
- Demonstrated success in teaching excellence at the collegiate level;
- Publications in peer-reviewed journals or high-quality journals.
Preferred Qualifications Associate Professor:
- Previous tenure at an AACSB-accredited institution for at least 3 years
- In good standing at current institution
- An earned doctorate (Ph.D. or DBA) in Entrepreneurship, Management or a closely related discipline from an AACSB accredited institution (or equivalent)
- Demonstrated success in teaching excellence at the collegiate level;
- Demonstrated expertise in Entrepreneurship;
- Publications in peer-reviewed A star journals per (ADBC)
- Experience with Financial aspects of entrepreneurship

Additional Information:
UTRGV is a distributed institution. As such and as assigned, the position may require presence at multiple locations throughout the Rio Grande Valley. Work is performed primarily in a general office environment. This position is security sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of the Texas Education Code §51.215. The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length. This position has the option to elect the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) instead of TRS, subject to the position being 40 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
