Emporia State University’s (ESU) Counselor Education programs in Emporia, Kansas seeks applications for one tenure-track or non-tenure track multi-year appointment. This position may be structured with administrative responsibilities in our CACREP-accredited Clinical Counseling, Clinical Rehabilitation Program.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position emphasizes teaching and development of effective clinical rehabilitation counseling graduate students. The ESU program is a 60-credit degree program that meets clinical licensure for the state of Kansas. Students can pursue the Certification for Rehabilitation Counselors (CRC), and licensure in addictions counseling.
Teaching synchronous and asynchronous online courses in clinical counseling
Advising students
Providing supervision to interns
Performing scholarly and service activities
Participating in CACREP accreditation endeavors
Opportunities for summer teaching are available
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications:
Graduated with a doctorate degree from a CACREP program or meets the criteria for core faculty members per the 2024 CACREP standards.
Current licensure in the field, or eligible to obtain licensure in mental health (LPC), rehabilitation counseling (CRC), or addictions (LAC/LCAC).
Online teaching experience or willingness to learn.
Preferred qualifications:
Professional experience and licensure in one of the clinical counseling fields (rehabilitation counseling, addictions counseling, mental health counseling). Record of university teaching excellence. Record of professional presentations and/or academic publications, and service to the profession.
COMPENSATION:
Salary: $52,912 – $65,000 annually
Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
