Position Overview
The Ohio State Universitys School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track faculty member within our Learning Health Systems Collaborative at the Assistant Professor rank. We are seeking faculty who will teach courses within the CARESTREAM program and Doctorate of Physical Therapy program while helping to establish a new program dedicated to applied learning health systems competency and health services research training in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences Learning Health Systems Collaborative. The position will entail teaching and mentoring consistent with expertise, developing and sustaining an extramurally funded and productive scholarship program through publications and presentations, and contributing to service needs of the School, College, University and appropriate professional organizations.We are especially interested in facultymemberswhose scholarship advances health servicesand learning health systemsresearch aimed at strengthening hospital and health systemoutcomes and operationalperformance.Areas of particular interest include hospital harm reduction, fall prevention, rehabilitation service optimization, and facilitating transitions of care, with specific attention to supporting quality improvement and health service delivery model optimization. Individuals with experience partnering with health systems to study and redesign clinical processes, strengthen workforce training models, advance educational scholarship, and build academicmedical center partnerships that support learning health system initiatives would be a strong fit.Candidates may further distinguish themselves through innovative course development and thoughtful curricular design that bridges academic learning with real-world health system experience.

Performance Objectives
- Maintains active scholarship: Presents scholarly work at local, regional, national, and international meetings; publishes scholarly work in books and journals; and leads an independent program of scholarship with funding as a principal investigator on intramural or extramural grants
- Develops, plans, and delivers core and elective courses within the School of Health and Rehabilitations CARESTREAM and Doctorate of Physical Therapy programs; and participates in curriculum design and revision
- Actively participates in service to division, school, college, university, professional and community organizations; and other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements
Required: Current Physical Therapy License, eligible for an unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the State of Ohio; PhD or equivalent in a related field; strong evidence of or potential to develop an extramurally funded and productive scholarship program in learning health systems science or a related field; evidence of strong teaching ability; ability to mentor professional and graduate students. Scholarly and teaching expertise in health systems science/learning health systems approaches are required.
Desired:Experience with curriculum development and clinical placement coordination specific to engaging learners in health system experiential learning opportunities and learning health system competencies.
