Job Description
Austin Peay State University's College of Business invites applicants for a tenure track Assistant Professor of Business Analytics with teaching and research interests in business analytics to begin in August 2026. This position will be responsible for teaching required courses in the college's BBA and MBA programs, and courses in the college's new Business Analytics undergraduate concentration.
The APSU College of Business is a teaching-focused business school committed to student success while serving the Clarksville and Nashville metropolitan areas. We strive to push students beyond the textbook and help them explore their passions, in order to empower our graduates to compete in a global economy.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- This position requires active teaching, research, and service related to the discipline.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Possess the knowledge, talents, and skills in business analytics in multiple teaching methodologies including hybrid, flipped, online, and blended courses.
- Demonstrate respect for the diverse learning needs of students.
- Demonstrate the ability to develop and implement curriculum objectives and content for business analytics courses taught.
- Demand and maintain high standards and expectations for all students.
Physical Requirements
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
Required Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of an earned doctoral degree in business analytics, management science, management information systems, statistics, applied mathematics, or related discipline with appropriate research in business analytics (ABD will be considered if all requirements are completed by date of hire, August 1, 2026).
- Candidates must be qualified as Scholarly Academic (SA) in Business Analytics under AACSB accreditation standards.
- Research and/or dissertation must be related to an area of business analytics taught within the College of Business.
- Teaching philosophy statement.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the requirements of AACSB accreditation.
- A background search will be required of the successful candidate

If the journal is not on the ABDC list, please note this. All publications will be considered but preference will be to publications listed on the ABDC list. In addition, please include any significant consulting projects.
