Assistant Professor of Psychology
The Austin College Department of Psychology invites applications for the tenure-track position of Assistant Professor of Psychology. The Psychology Department seeks candidates with expertise in an applied field (e.g., Clinical/Counseling Psychology, Health Psychology, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, School Psychology). Candidates must have PhD in hand before the position begins in August 2026.
A strong commitment to teaching excellence is essential. The successful candidate can expect to teach applied courses in their area of specialization. Additionally, the candidate can expect to teach a subset of core courses for the department (e.g., General Psychology, Quantitative Research Methods) and courses within our clinical/counseling track (e.g., Psychopathology, Assessment). Our department supports a range of collaborative research and internship opportunities for undergraduates. We welcome applicants who are excited about conducting research with undergraduate students, advising students, and placing students into internships in the surrounding community.
