The Psychology Department at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay seeks dually trained applicants for a tenure-track position in the Psychology Department, focusing on the Sport, Exercise, or Performance Psychology (SEPP) graduate program while also representing Clinical and Counseling Psychology in the undergraduate program.
The successful applicant will contribute to an academic unit which values teaching and mentorship and contributes to the success of students within our access mission.
This position will be responsible for enhancing UW-Green Bay’s mission-driven inclusive teaching efforts and creating and maintaining an educational environment that acknowledges, encourages, and celebrates those with diverse identities, beliefs, and cultural backgrounds.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Implement inclusive instructional strategies to increase support for students from underrepresented and first-generation backgrounds at UW-Green Bay.
- Teach undergraduate-level courses which could include: Counseling and Psychotherapy, Psychopathology Research Methods.
- Develop a research program involving collaboration with undergraduate and graduate students and/or faculty.
- Perform scholarly activities consistent with rank.
- Advise and mentor students.
- Contribute to ongoing SEPP graduate program development.
- Perform institutional and community service.
- Teach graduate-level courses which could include: Theoretical Orientations, Counseling Microskills, Multicultural Psychology, Statistics and Research Methods in Applied Sport Psychology, Sport Sociology, Practicum.
- Supervise SEPP practicum students in their delivery of consulting services.
Required Qualifications:
- Earned doctorate either in Sport Psychology, Kinesiology or closely related field from an accredited institution; or in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or a closely related field from an APA-accredited program within an accredited institution by the end of the first academic year.
- Master’s Degree either in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or a closely related field from an APA-accredited program within an accredited institution; or in Sport Psychology, Kinesiology, or closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Earned Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC) by start date.
- Ability to be an approved mentor through Association for Applied Sport Psychology (AASP) within 2 years of start date (August 2028).
- Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching.
- Demonstrated potential for excellence in scholarship.
