Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) - Criminology (26-27)
The Criminology Department at DePaul University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position for the Academic Year 2026-2027. Successful candidates will teach both in-person and online, including core courses such as Introduction to the Criminal Legal System and Criminological Theory, as well as electives in their area of specialization.
Teaching expectations include supporting student learning, retention, and completion; teaching assigned courses at various campuses; holding office hours; and advising students on career opportunities.
Scholarly expectations include conducting research in criminology or criminal justice, engaging students in research, presenting at professional venues, and publishing in peer-reviewed journals.
Service expectations include supporting student organizations, participating in departmental and university committees, and engaging in community service activities.
Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or a related field is preferred. ABD candidates with significant progress are encouraged to apply.
