Associate Professor/Professor of Pathology and Cell Biology at CUMC
The Department of Pathology and Cell Biology at Columbia University is seeking a Director of Surgical Pathology at the Associate Professor or Professor level. Board certification in Anatomic Pathology is a requirements for this position. Teaching and communication skills are essential. Applicants must hold an MD, DO, or MD/PhD degree and be able to obtain a NYS medical license.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert diagnostic services in surgical pathology.
- Oversee and manage laboratory operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Lead and mentor faculty, trainees while contributing to education through teaching of residents, and fellows.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to support patient care and multidisciplinary initiatives.

Minimum Education Qualifications:
- MD, DO or MD/PhD (or equivalent medical degree).
Other Qualifications:
- Board certification in Anatomic Pathology (AP) (American Board of Pathology).
- Eligibility for medical licensure in the State of New York.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a collaborative approach to multidisciplinary care.
- Demonstrated academic excellence and a strong record of scholarly productivity in research.

Hiring Salary Range: $305,000 to $425,000
- Associate Professor at CUMC: $305,000 to $370,000
- Professor at CUMC: $315,000 to $425,000
