Bell Program Facilitator - MSUAASF Range B (AA26138)
POSITION: Probationary; Range B
Job Description
Professionals in this position will recruit students to the new Bell engineering program (based at Iron Range Engineering in Virginia, MN), lead on-campus activities while students are taking part in the 5-month on-site intensive training period (the Bell Academy), mentor and facilitate the professional and design development of the student engineers while they are on-campus and on co-op placement, and liaison with industries (nation-wide) that employ the co-op students.
Minimum Qualifications
B.S. or B. A. degree.
1 year of experience in engineering practice or college program recruiting or industry relations or higher education program delivery or technical communication or program development/ assessment.
Preferred Qualification
Demonstrated ability to establish professional relationships (with industry reps, students, college faculty, colleagues).
Ability to work independently and be self-motivated in initiating contacts with potential partners
Basic understanding of science and engineering disciplines
Advanced understanding of engineering professional skills
Basic understanding of engineering design process
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational and record keeping skills (using spreadsheets and/or database technology)
Ability to participate in program development and assessment
Demonstrated commitment to fostering a diverse working and learning environment.
