Coordinator 4
Overview
The Coordinator 4 position is in the Department of Psychiatry and is responsible for providing research services to patients participating in clinical trials at the Yale Prime Clinic while ensuring safe, compliant, efficient, and effective conduct of clinical trials. The main responsibilities include screening potential research candidates and recruiting the eligible candidates to enrolling in active research studies. Other responsibilities may include outreach, communication among team members, and ensuring that the clinical activities for study participants are conducted in accordance with approved protocols and clinical objectives. These activities include but are not limited to the oversight of study advertising in different platforms, reviewing eligibility determination, registration and other protocol and subject milestones. The position works within a multidisciplinary environment with colleagues both internally and externally in a cooperative manner exercising respectfulness, and professionalism. The CRC 4 will have direct patient contact and is responsible for managing and performing the clinical and operational aspects complex clinical trials.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Experience working with young adults in mental health outreach or research settings. Experience with recruitment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with HIPAA and human subject’s regulations.
- Knowledge of Clinical High Risk (CHR) symptoms or psychotic disorders.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
A Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Public Health, Social Work or a related field.
Principal Responsibilities
- Assumes primary responsibility for a program, service, activity, operation or function in an assigned area. Develops objectives, practice and procedure and identifies resources to ensure accomplishment of operational goals.
- Coordinates day-to-day operations in order to achieve designated goals. Ensures effective management and leads the development and implementation of best practices.
- Designs and implements quality control metrics to identify areas of risk. Analyzes, recommends, and implements strategic solutions to minimize risk.
- Develops a variety of complex report and other written materials.
- Provides guidance to and collaboration with internal and external partners as necessary.
- Develops, oversees and monitors budgets.
- Develops and maintains specialized training.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in related field and three years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
