About the Role:

Curtin University is seeking an experienced Digital Content Officer to manage and deliver engaging digital content across websites, social media and electronic communications, whilst overseeing Properties, Facilities and Development’s website.

This role sits within the Properties, Facilities & Development (PF&D) Communications and Engagement team and support high quality engagement that promotes Curtin University’s campus, service and major projects - helping ensure Curtin’s digital presence is user-focused, accessible and effective.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and sustaining digital platforms, including websites, social media channels, and electronic direct mail (EDM) campaigns
  • Creating and delivering content as required
  • Editing and publishing content using Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), accessibility and UX best practice
  • Monitoring and reporting on digital performance using Google Analytics and similar tools
  • Conducting content audits and identifying new digital opportunities
  • Maintaining and updating WordPress sites, including basic coding tasks
  • Working with internal teams including Curtin’s Digital Technology Service (DTS) and external consultants

What you’ll bring:

  • A degree in digital design, communications or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Demonstrated experience managing websites and digital content, particularly WordPress
  • Strong understanding of SEO, analytics and digital best practice
  • High-quality written, visual and design skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work independently

Role Requirements:

  1. As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered 
  2. Successful applicants are subject to a National Police Clearance, and background, integrity, and reference checks to Curtin’s satisfaction
