Digital Platform and Engagement Operation Manager
The Manager of Digital Platform and Engagement Operations is responsible for the daily operations, governance, and continuous development of UCSF Health's internal communications platform. This role blends content operations, contributor enablement, analytics, and digital infrastructure to create a user-friendly, intuitive, and high-impact experience for employees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Platform Operations & Program Oversight: Oversees daily operations for UCSF Health's internal communications platform via publishing workflows, targeting, and review/approval of content submissions. Manages contributor onboarding, training, permissions, site governance, platform image libraries, graphics, and brand assets aligned to the department's editorial strategy.
- Editorial Strategy & Content Execution: Coordinates editorial scheduling and timing in collaboration with the Director.
- Intranet Growth & Platform Development: Support ongoing content migration and contributor enablement following phase one launch. Builds a connected sites strategy with the Director. Serves as the primary point of contact with the platform vendor on features, troubleshooting, and roadmap.
- Audience Engagement & Analytics: Manages tactical audience list setup, maintenance, and new request fulfillment within the platform (not overall audience strategy, which is owned elsewhere). Tracks content engagement, contributor activity, and adoption. Develops actionable analytics dashboards in collaboration with the Director and communications colleagues to ensure insights are actionable and context-driven.
- Stakeholder & Contributor Engagement: Partners with internal stakeholders and content owners across the health system to align contributor practices and governance standards. Supports content creators with training, onboarding, and adoption of new tools.
- Governance & Platform Evolution: Updates governance protocols as the platform evolves. Supports emerging needs, including new feature adoption, enhancements, and integrations with connected sites. Manages refresh/archiving workflows: act on automatic expiration triggers, engage content owners, and uphold standards for updates/removal. Carries out additional duties as assigned to support platform maturity.
