Director of Public Relations
The Director of Public Relations is responsible for managing and coordinating all public relations efforts of the college, including publications, news releases, media relations, promotional advertising, special public events, social media management, and assistance with website management. The director will implement and ensure appropriate branding of the institution through all graphic design services.
Required Qualifications include a Bachelors degree and valid drivers license, proficiency in public speaking, written and oral communication skills, and advanced knowledge in journalism, graphic design, and communications. The candidate should have 3 years of full-time management or professional-level experience in public relations or an occupation where the job functions, skills, and knowledge were demonstrated regularly.
Flexible work schedule with main working hours to be a 4-day work week Monday to Thursday. Excellent benefits such as vacation, sick leave, paid LCC tuition for employees and dependents, Kansas Public Employment Retirement System (KPERS), KPERS 457, 403B with matching plan, and the State Plan of Kansas insurances that includes medical, dental, and vision for employee and family. Supplemental insurances are also offered.
The salary range is based on experience and begins at $47,000 annually. This is a full-time, exempt position. The position remains open until filled.
