The Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program (BSGP) serves as the umbrella graduate program in the College of Medicine, with 11 areas of research emphasis and 400 associated faculty members in 26 units across The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and Nationwide Children's Hospital. The primary objective of the Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program is to provide interdisciplinary training to talented predoctoral students and to equip them with the necessary skills to make significant scientific breakthroughs in academia, industry, and government.
The Biomedical Sciences Graduate Program's Education Program Specialist 2 collaborates with the Faculty Co-Directors, the Administrative Program Director, and teaching faculty to provide programmatic coordination and professional-level administrative support. Duties include but are not limited to coordinating and executing recruitment activities; serving as the primary BSGP point of contact for the planning and coordination of the COM Trainee Research Day; coordinating logistical support for all Program events; assisting in processing graduate admissions applications and maintaining admissions spreadsheets; responding to general Program inquiries; course maintenance and scheduling; maintaining and updating BSGP content within the Student Information System (SIS), Carmen/Canvas, EDWARD, GradForms, Microsoft Teams, and other educational platforms; coordinate and submit travel requests and reimbursements for current and prospective COM students and program staff via Workday; performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Required Education
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.
Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience. Two years of relevant experience. Requires successful completion of a background check. Selected candidate may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
Additional Desired Qualifications
Experience in program coordination, implementation, planning, and administration or managing of multiple complex tasks in a university setting is strongly desired. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Prior experience in SIS, Workday, and Qualtrics.

Work Schedule: This position is a hybrid position with at least 3 days a week expected in the office. This position may require additional in-office days and early morning and/or evening hours during peak admissions seasons, which span January-February.
