"Endowed Chair in Entrepreneurship and Innovation"

The Endowed Chair in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Westmont College is a prestigious leadership position seeking a distinguished scholar and experienced executive. The ideal candidate will hold a terminal degree in business or a business-related field and have held a senior executive role at a leading company, combining academic excellence, entrepreneurial acumen, and significant business leadership.

Responsibilities: Lead cutting-edge research and thought leadership in entrepreneurship and innovation, contributing to both scholarship and real-world impact; Develop and teach undergraduate courses in entrepreneurship, innovation, leadership, and related fields; Foster partnerships between Westmont College and industry to enhance innovation ecosystems; Mentor students and junior faculty to cultivate entrepreneurial mindset; Participate in strategic initiatives to advance Westmont College’s mission of a redemptive Christian approach to entrepreneurship and innovation; Represent Westmont College at conferences, industry events, and public forums.

Qualifications: PhD in Business, Entrepreneurship, Innovation, or a closely related field preferred; Proven executive experience in a leadership role at a leading entrepreneurial company, demonstrating strategic vision and operational expertise; Strong record of scholarly research and publications in entrepreneurship and innovation; Demonstrated ability to bridge academic research and practical business applications; Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills; Commitment to a redemptive approach to entrepreneurship, innovation, leadership and management.

Preferred Attributes: Experience in securing research funding and managing large projects; Established network in entrepreneurship and innovation communities; Track record of successful mentorship and teaching at the undergraduate level.
