Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Strategic Impact & Engagement department on the Gainesville campus. This position supports the Office of Community Engagement, Office of Government Relations, and Strategic Support Team to plan and deliver community and campus programs and events. In addition to performing administrative and clerical duties, this position will engage with internal and external stakeholders to cultivate and build positive relationships. The position will report to the Program Manager for Strategic Support and will be based on the Gainesville Campus.
Responsibilities
- Assisting the team with a high number of internal and external programs and events ranging from small meetings to large-scale conferences and projects.
- Developing an understanding of the requirements for events and programs to effectively support the events/program manager with logistical and administrative tasks;
- Work within financial and time constraints for each event and program;
- Ad-hoc duties at events including, but not limited to guest list management and registration, simple AV support, etc.;
- Helping set up and dismantle events efficiently through to completion;
- Assisting faculty and staff to set up and manage their event in software systems utilized by the university;
- Greet and respond to needs of individuals seeking assistance in the office.
- May be asked to travel between campuses and off-campus locations on occasion.

- Proficient in MS Office
- Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
