Future-Ready Workforce Student Intern - Federal Work Study
Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Middle, Secondary and P12 Education department on the Gainesville campus. This person will help with planning and implementing outreach events related to future-ready and workforce development topics like AI, drones, and other emerging technologies. Students of any major are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
- Act as a student representative for the purposes of EdTech-related outreach/development.
- Assist with planning and/or implementing EdTech related UNG programs and events such as the campus NextFest, cadet-focused disruptive tech trainings, and work with partners like the Center for Civic Engagement.
- Assist with external k12 projects ongoing this year. Travel funding to attend these events and support them in person is possible.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- An interest in technology and a willingness to learn about new technologies.
- Some skills/exposure to Artificial Intelligence (such as ChatGPT), drones, or other emerging technologies.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Experience leading groups of people, such as in public speaking, teaching, coaching, or working at summer camps.
