Global Partnerships Operations Manager -12 Months FTC
The Department
This role will be based in the Global Partnerships Office, which is responsible for supporting the growth and operational delivery of the University’s UK and international partnership work. The Global Partnerships Office is a highly valued team, and the growth and success of global partnerships is a key component of the University’s strategic plan.
The Role
The key focus of this role is to act as an ‘account manager’ for a portfolio of the University’s UK and overseas academic partners. This involves the effective managerial delivery and oversight of partnership operations and being the first point of contact for the partner and University colleagues on non-academic matters.
The post holder will provide expertise, support and communications on operational and risk management matters relating to their portfolio of partners to ensure that the University and partner relationships work effectively and that the partnerships adhere to all internal and external regulatory requirements and key University business processes.
The post holder will also manage the Partnership Reviews and related ongoing actions and outcomes for partnerships within their portfolio.
The Person
The post holder will report to The Deputy Head of the Global Partnerships Office (Operations) and have prior experience of working for an FE or HE educational provider, ideally supporting partnership activities and operations.
The post holder will also have experience of operational process development and improvement along with high level skills in data processing and analysis and must be able to build positive relationships with people from diverse backgrounds and at all levels within an organisation.
The post holder will have a first degree or equivalent professional experience as well as:
- Experience of working for an FE or HE educational provider supporting HE provision
- Experience of working in an academic administration and/or registry-related role
- Knowledge of academic partnerships operations
- Experience of co-ordinating projects involving multiple stakeholders
- Experience of successful relationship management of a diverse stakeholder group
- Knowledge and experience of teaching, learning and assessment matters
- A proven ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- A proven ability to plan and manage a project to successful completion
- A proven ability to prioritise workloads in a fast paced, dynamic environment
- Cultural and international awareness, with excellent negotiation and relationship building skills
- The ability to work with senior management and leadership teams
- High level skills in documentation and financial analysis
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organisation and project management skills
