Graduate Assistant for Men's and Women's Swim and Dive

Responsibilities:
- Follow all rules and guidelines set forth by the NCAA, CCIW, Carroll University, and Athletic Department policies and procedures including the Athletic Personnel Code of Conduct
- Assist the head coach in planning, coordinating, and directing practice and training sessions
- Recruit prospective student-athletes and use Front Rush software
- Supervise academic study hall sessions and other team events as assigned
- Assist with sport camps and clinics throughout the year
- Assist the strength and conditioning coordinator with implementation of program
- Assist with home meet logistics, event set-up and breakdown, and meet management
- Assist with coordination of team travel and meals for away meets
- Assist with pool management, scheduling and supervision of lifeguards
- Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Director of Athletics
Qualifications:
- Maintain full time status in an eligible Carroll University graduate program
- Additional approval is required for entrance in graduate programs outside of Education
- Candidates must be willing and able to support and advance the University mission.
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required
- Previous experience in coaching preferred
- Participation in a college level swimming and diving program preferred
Human Relation Skills:
- Ability to function effectively as a team player within the program and athletics department.
- Ability to conduct self in a productive, professional manner at all times, representing Carroll University at the highest level as a role model and mentor for our student athletes.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft word, publisher, excel, and related computer applications vital to organizational skills that ensure success in our program.
- Ability to work effectively with people regardless of their age, gender, race, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, ability, socio-economic background, or job type.
- Excellent communication skills as they relate to recruiting, working with parents, alumni, and current student athletes.
Special Requirements:
- Must have valid motor vehicle license and be insurable under the University's insurance plan.
