Job Description Summary
Responsible for the overall financial management of the Grant portfolio and other financial matters of the School/Center. Will manage proposal development, budget development and related pre-award activities for diverse sponsor portfolio. Manage post award activities including account set up, monitor and review of all sponsored projects expenditures including fund projections. Monitor and enforce compliance with sponsor guidelines and meet with Principal Investigators to discuss and advice on any financial issues related to their portfolio. Will actively participate in specific projects and will be greatly involved in a more complicated grants with multiple sub-contracts. This position reports to the Associate Director of ED Res Admin within the department and has a dotted reporting line to the PSOM office of Research Support Services.
Job Responsibilities
- The Grants Manager A: Provide pre- and post-award research and financial administrative support for individual investigators within the Department of Emergency Medicine and PM&R. Monitor grant expenditures for compliance and take/recommend corrective actions as needed; update payroll allocations and prepare payroll reallocations as needed. Produce and distribute specialized research-related financial reports for investigators. Advise department faculty on extramural, university and school research administration. Manage post award activity for department in accordance with university policy. Act as liaison to the University Office of Research Services and PSOM's Office of Research Support Services. Act as Penn ERA Research Support Provider and assist in preparation and submission of Research Inventory System (RIS) and effort reports. Will work independently and will actively participate in specific projects, including the annual budget submission.

Qualifications
- GMA: Bachelor of Science and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- GMB: Bachelor of Science and 5 to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Pay Range: $76,000.00 - $80,000.00 Annual Rate
