Honors Experience Coordinator
Position Purpose
The Honors Experience Coordinator will play a pivotal role in The Honors College through assisting the Dean with planning and execution of HC 1000: Making Discoveries, The Honors College freshman colloquium. Support for this course embraces the virtues of inspiration, imagination, engagement and innovation. Assistance with events, special projects, and recognition events, as well as general administrative duties. This position will support highly personalized strategies to foster success in a diverse group of high-achieving students, as well as build and foster relationships with on-campus and community partners. The Honors Experience Coordinator will also be the main contact in the coordination of The Honors College annual scholarships.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- A minimum one year experience related to working with high-achieving students.
- Ability to supervise student employees and student teaching assistants.
- Ability to work with confidential student information, scholarships and records.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
Desired Qualifications
- Master's Degree in education related field.
- Familiarity with Student Information Systems.
