Industry Engagement Adviser
- Drive meaningful partnerships that connect UWA students with industry, fostering knowledge exchange and real‑world employability outcomes.
- Contribute to UWA’s innovation agenda by shaping engagement processes and programs that link the business community with learning and development initiatives.
- Full-time (1.0 FTE) appointment on an ongoing basis.
- Base salary range: $104,243 – $115,661 p.a. plus 17% superannuation.
About the area
Enterprise Education serves as the bridge between the University’s academic community and the engines of welfare and prosperity for Western Australia. The area is responsible for designing, enabling, and scaling high-impact partnerships between the academic community and external stakeholders across industry, government, and the not-for-profit sector. These partnerships deliver a foundation for contemporary and impactful career services and experiential learning pathways relevant to all students. They also support the development and delivery of co- and extra-curricular experiences that uplift students, partners, and the broader community. Through deep engagement with enterprise partners, Enterprise Education delivers lifelong learning and development opportunities that advance the competitiveness of the communities served by the University.
About the opportunity
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry partners to generate new collaborations, placement opportunities and coordinated engagement activities across UWA.
- Liaise with industry partners and organisations, acting as the point of contact on work placement agreements, providing support and authoritative advice and responding to complex enquiries providing factual and accurate information
- Plan and deliver programs and events that bring students and industry together, strengthening UWA’s community impact and responsiveness to evolving job‑market trends.
About you
- Strong relationship‑building capability with demonstrated experience liaising across internal and external stakeholders to create effective partnerships.
- Understanding of industry engagement practices, including knowledge exchange, technology transfer and commercialisation principles.
- Skilled in designing and implementing best‑practice WIL engagement processes and related policies in a higher‑education context.
- Advanced communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to respond to complex enquiries and provide authoritative advice.
- Strong planning and organisational capability, able to coordinate programs, manage priorities and deliver events that support student‑industry connection.
