Brief Summary of Work for this Position:
The Department of Mathematics and Statistics within the College of Sciences and Engineering at the University of North Carolina Wilmington (UNCW), seeks multiple outstanding faculty members for up to three full-time, nine-month non-tenure track lecturer positions beginning August 2026.
Lecturer primary duties focus on teaching introductory mathematics and/or statistics courses in a face-to-face modality, as well as on-campus departmental & university service and professional development.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

• Master's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics or other related field with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Mathematics and/or Statistics at time of application.
• Evidence of excellence in teaching is required.

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

• Experience teaching introductory courses in Mathematics and/or Statistics at the college and/or university level is preferred.

Required Certifications or Licensure:
No Required Certifications or Licensure.

Primary Function of Organizational Unit:
The department offers undergraduate programs in mathematics, statistics and data science, a certificate in actuarial science and graduate programs in mathematics and data science, as well as a post-baccalaureate certificate in statistics. The department and university are committed to assisting new faculty to succeed through continual faculty development and mentorship. The department is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute, through their teaching and service, to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
