Marketing and Communications Coordinator
AUSCERT is seeking a versatile and creative Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join our small, friendly, and high-performing team. This is a hands-on role with plenty of variety, autonomy, and room to innovate. You’ll be instrumental in elevating our digital marketing efforts, enhancing member engagement, and promoting AUSCERT’s services, podcast, and flagship annual conference.
We’re looking for someone who’s more than just a social media whiz—someone who can write compelling blog posts and EDMs, help us make the most of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and bring fresh ideas to our podcast and event promotions.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud: Plan, build, and optimise email campaigns, journeys, and member communications.
- Content Creation: Write engaging blog posts, newsletters, and EDMs that reflect AUSCERT’s voice and values.
- Podcast Support: Assist with planning, recording, editing, and promoting episodes of the Share Today, Save Tomorrow podcast.
- Conference Promotion: Develop and execute marketing strategies for AUSCERT’s annual cyber security conference.
- Digital Strategy: Contribute to website updates, analytics, and digital campaigns across email, web, and social media.
- Creative Development: Design multimedia assets and marketing collateral aligned with AUSCERT’s brand.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with a supportive team that values creativity, experimentation, and continuous improvement.

About You: You’re a proactive communicator with a flair for storytelling and a strategic mindset. You enjoy working across multiple channels and projects, and you’re comfortable juggling creative tasks with technical tools. You thrive in a collaborative environment but are equally confident working independently. You will also have: A degree in marketing, communications, business or related field, or equivalent experience and training, demonstrated experience in developing and implementing marketing and communication strategies, excellent written and verbal communication skills, including content creation for websites, blogs, and press releases, strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with confidence engaging with stakeholders, media, and high-profile speakers, proficiency with CMS platforms, social media tools, and general computing skills, a friendly, professional, and client-focused approach to work, ability to work independently with a methodical and organised mindset. Desirable attributes include familiarity with the cyber security sector, experience using Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and competency in design tools such as Canva, InDesign, or Photoshop.
