Medical Researcher | PhD Candidate 'Underlying (Neuro)Immunology in Post-Infectious Neuropsychiatric Complaints'
Job Summary: Research the underlying (neuro)immunology in patients experiencing neuropsychiatric complaints, such as memory issues and concentration disorders, following infections like COVID or sepsis. This project is conducted in collaboration with the Post-Covid Network Netherlands and funded by a ZonMw grant.
Responsibilities: Perform research with colleagues from genomics, psychiatry, and internal medicine departments; Use unique methods to measure immune cell responses from cerebrospinal fluid; Collect blood, cerebrospinal fluid, and conduct neuropsychological assessments on patients; Execute lab technical tasks under supervision.
Qualifications and Requirements: Must be a BIG-registered physician eager to develop scientifically; Be a team player who enjoys in-depth work, learning new skills, and working independently; Willing to conduct lab research and interact with patients.
What the Employer Offers: Fixed-term contract of 2.5 to 3 years; Gross monthly salary between €3,598 and €5,669 for full-time employment (36 hours per week); 8% vacation allowance, 8.3% end-of-year bonus, and 176 vacation hours per year based on a 36-hour workweek; Opportunities for professional development in a dynamic, social research environment at Radboudumc.
