MnSCU Academic Supervisor 1 - Director of Student Services (Unlimited, Full-time)
The Director of Student Services has programmatic responsibility to manage the daily operations and supervision of the one-stop student services enrollment advisors, consistently evaluate and update Student Services processes and procedures to increase efficiency and improve the student experience with frontline service. This position acts as a college subject matter expert on processes and procedures in Student Services and Financial Aid, and as the liaison to college stakeholders regarding Student Services processes and procedures.
Administrator of Student Services technology tools include Navigate, Elevate Call Center, UC Client, and Jira database.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Oversee and manage department and contract personnel to ensure effective staffing, compliance with policies, and timely budget-conscious project execution.
- Lead the development and coordination of policies and procedures that govern the Student Services suite’s frontline operations.
- Establish, maintain, and strengthen strategic partnerships with internal departments to support enrollment goals, first-year onboarding, and academic persistence.
- Work with Information Technology Services (ITS), Institutional Effectiveness, and external vendors to optimize and maintain service technologies.
- Lead service assessment efforts, including satisfaction surveys, ticket analysis, and usage trends, to inform service improvements and staff training.
- Benchmark frontline operations against best practices in higher education, especially within the Minnesota State system.
Salary Range: $30.10 - $43.59 hourly / $62,849 - $91,016 annually
Minimum Qualifications:
- Two years of professional experience in higher education programs.
- Experience providing administrative supervision, planning and compliance documentation.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication skills, the ability to make effective presentations, have strong speaking skills, develop, and drive change and effectively communicate change.
- Ability to interpret higher education regulations and policies concerning admissions and enrollment.
- Demonstrates an ongoing understanding of cultural fluency. Incorporates culturally responsive practices, and actively engages in antiracism professional development learning opportunities.
Other Requirement: Current and former employees must be in good standing with Minneapolis College to be considered for the position.
Work Shift: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Telework: This position may be eligible for partial telework per the Minneapolis College's Telework Guidelines.
