The Hornet Resource Center serves as a one-stop hub for basic needs services, offering holistic support such as access to supplemental food, housing navigation, and more. The HRC also assists students with admission application support, registration, student ID production, and more.
Job Description:
The Basic Needs Special Projects Coordinator will provide comprehensive support resources for students experiencing basic needs insecurity by connecting Fullerton College students with Federal, State, and County resources. Additionally, the Basic Needs Special Projects Coordinator will oversee daily operations, including evening hours to serve working students, host information sessions, application drives, and other programs to enhance awareness and increase access to these vital programs.
The Basic Needs Special Projects Coordinator will assist with budget oversight, administrative tasks, HRC personnel support, collection of data for reporting to state agencies, vendor reports, and general internal reporting.
Work Hours:
Must be available for the following working hours: Monday through Thursday – 10 am to 7 pm; Friday – 8 am to 5 pm (Schedule and shifts are subject to change in accordance to department needs)
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate Degree with coursework in a related discipline; AND Two (2) years of progressively responsible experience in a student services/support functional area. Or, any combination of education and experience which would provide the required equivalent qualifications of the position. Commitment to diversity. Desirable Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline. Experience working in a lead role within a student services/support functional area. Ensures that all interactions and operations within the assigned area promote inclusivity and equity.
Salary Range:
Special Projects Coordinator: $225/day
