"Music Student Office Assistant - Federal Work Study"

Job Summary

The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Music department on the Dahlonega campus. The University of North Georgia Music Department Dahlonega Campus seeks to hire motivated and organized Student workers to assist in day-to-day department activities. Student Assistants will serve as ambassadors for the music department; greet all visitors and students pleasantly, courtesy, provide information regarding the department of music and events, and assist with various office duty as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Primary Duty: working front of house during all music events. Events are scheduled afternoon, evenings and some weekends
• Greeting and assisting Patrons during events
• Assisting at large annual department events (Alumni Weekend, Holiday Concert)
• Managing Department High School Directory
• Assisting with development and posting of social media posts
• Additional duties include
• Assisting with live streaming production of Department events
• Hanging posters for upcoming events around campus
• Assisting with copying, sorting, filing, data entry
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Ideal candidate will possess experience with written and verbal communication, public speaking, time management. Must be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; demonstrate attention to detail, exhibit excellent communication skills and customer service. Knowledge of Canva, Facebook and Instagram, Excellent working knowledge of outlook, MS Office.

Required Qualifications

Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
