Position Overview

The Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position (open rank) in the Department of Marketing and Logistics. We seek candidates with expertise in quantitative methods, Bayesian statistics, and/or an interest in applied empirical problems. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in applications of artificial intelligence in marketing. Candidates are expected to have a strong commitment to high-quality, interdisciplinary research and collaboration and an interest in solving problems in marketing. Duties and responsibilities are assigned in accordance with the workload guidelines laid out in the pattern of administration of each faculty members tenure initiation unit (TIU) and, as appropriate, regional campus; obligations will include research, service, and/or teaching. These faculty will have earned a doctorate or other terminal degree in the relevant field of study or possession of equivalent experience.

Education and Experience Requirements

Minimum requirements for the position are a PhD in business and/or related field (near-completed PhD students are welcome to apply) and evidence of an ability to conduct high-quality research. The salary is competitive with leading research universities.

Fisher College of Business has a rich research tradition and engages through the college and the Graduate School in programs at the undergraduate, master and doctoral levels. The nationally ranked Fisher College of Business is one of 15 colleges within the university, with approximately 7,600 undergraduate and 1,000 graduate students.

The Department of Marketing and Logistics at Fisher College of Business prepares undergraduate and graduate students to take on important roles at leading international companies. Courses taught by world-class faculty are offered in consumer behavior and quantitative marketing, as well as logistics and supply chain management.
