Postdoctoral Fellow
Position Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow for NJMS- Center for Immunity and Inflammation (CII). Under the direction of Evan Johnson, the primary purpose of the Postdoctoral Fellow position is to perform specialized research activities including bioinformatics analysis in a core facility to support faculty and staff in CII utilizing this service.
Key Duties
- Provides integrative bioinformatics support for a variety of basic, translational and clinical research projects performed in the NJMS Core Facilities.
- Performs analysis of next generation sequencing and microarray data for research and clinical molecular diagnostic applications including RNA-Seq, DNA-Seq, ChIP-Seq, CGH and single cell transcriptions.
- Operates and maintains equipment.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by the Director.
- Keeps abreast of all pertinent federal, state and Rutgers' regulations, laws and policies as they presently exist and as they change or are modified.
Minimum Education and Experience
Candidates should have recently obtained a Ph.D.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Ability to work in a team environment and work independently is essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Standing, sitting, walking, talking and hearing. No special vision requirements. Must be able to lift or exert force up to ten (10) pounds.
Salary
A minimum of $61805
