Postdoctoral Research Scholar in Avionics
The Russ College of Engineering and Technology's School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Ohio University invites applications for the grant-funded, full-time, benefits eligible position of Postdoctoral Research Scholar in Avionics. The Postdoctoral Research Scholar will contribute to externally funded research projects, which involve developing and testing positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) systems.
The Postdoctoral Research Scholar in Avionics will conduct research focused on the development of advanced navigation solutions and integrity assessment methods for avionics applications. Key responsibilities include collecting and analyzing data from both ground and aerial systems to build a comprehensive repository for integrity analysis.
Expected activities include conducting experimental data collection and analysis, supporting the preparation of reports on research activities and findings to sponsors, preparing scholarly publications, and presenting research outcomes at conferences and other professional venues.
Special consideration will be given to candidates with experience in the following areas: GNSS positioning and timing methods, GNSS hardware, inertial navigation systems, post-processing of GNSS data, GNSS correction systems, data collection with USRP, MATLAB programming, Python programming, and GNSS simulator tools. Teaching experience is preferred, as the Research Scholar may contribute to the development of novel graduate and undergraduate courses related to avionics and navigation.
