Professor of Korean Studies
The Department of East Asian Studies at Princeton University invites applications from associate and full professors, specializing in any discipline and period, for a position in Korean studies. The appointment will be made at the rank of full professor. Candidates specializing in Korean history will be considered for a joint appointment in the History Department. Applicants are invited to submit a curriculum vitae, a detailed letter of application, one recent representative publication, and the names of three referees. Recommendation letters will be solicited by the search committee at a later stage of the process. Review of applications will begin on October 1, 2025 and will continue until the position is filled. Expected Salary Range: $166,000 - $241,000
The University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's qualifications, work experience, education/training, key skills, market, collective bargaining agreements as applicable, and organizational considerations when extending an offer. The posted salary range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate for a full-time position; salaries for part-time positions are pro-rated accordingly.
