"Research Assistant - Messanvi Startup (Student)"

Summary

We are recruiting for two Research Assistants to conduct neurobiology projects in rat models. The experiments will include neuroanatomical tracing and behavioral testing to investigate the role of neuropeptides in cognition. Research Assistants will work closely with all lab members and report directly to the principal investigator.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborate on ongoing research projects.
• Follow instructions and standard operating procedures.
• Assist in data collection and analysis.
• Maintains clear and accurate data collection records.
• Conduct literature reviews.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Part-time.

Salary Range:

$17.95/hour.

Required Education and Experience:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with the lab members.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Willingness to work with rats.

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Previous research experience.
• Pipetting skills.
• Knowledge of histological methods, microscopy and image analysis.
• The ideal candidates should have a strong academic background, excellent communication skills, and a strong interest in neurobiology research.
• This position is ideal for candidates who aim to pursue graduate or medical school in the future.
