Research Laboratory Specialist Associate
Plan experiments, prepare samples, analyze them, and interpret the results.
Present findings at group meetings and Pharmacology events.
Maintain transgenic mouse colony.
Genotype and identify transgenic mice using PCR-based screens.
Develop new genotyping methods.
Prepare resources and reagents that are critical to the success of others experiments.
Oversee lab archives, including the antibody and plasmid inventories.
Maintain lab supply inventory.
Train and mentor junior scientists on how to perform experiments. Ensure that experiments are conducted safely.
Act as a liaison with EHS and others to schedule and complete annual inspections.
Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.
1+ years of wet bench research experience.
Experience working with and maintaining a transgenic mouse colony.
Proficiency in isolating, culturing and purifying mouse T cells; purifying DNA; immunoblotting; and mouse dissection.
Master's degree in Pharmacology, Biochemistry or related discipline.
