About the Role
The Schools Recruitment Specialist role focuses on the domestic market and requires a strong understanding of the VTAC admissions process. It centres on developing strategic relationships with secondary schools and key influencers to increase awareness and consideration of Swinburne.
Through effective account management and proactive engagement, the role drives enquiry generation and nurtures strong relationships in an allocated portfolio of secondary schools across Victoria. Reporting to the Manager, Student Recruitment, the position manages and responds to enquiries from School Career Practitioners by building rapport with these key school contacts, and delivering an annual calendar of recruitment activities aligned to the broader Swinburne Schools Engagement Strategy.
As a representative for the University, the Schools Recruitment Specialist champions Swinburne at recruitment events and coordinates engagement initiatives that strengthen consideration and conversion within the domestic secondary school market. The role provides tailored advice to students through their high school career practitioners on course options, entry requirements, ATAR pathways, and the VTAC application process, while securing targeted on campus experiences that support conversion and enrolment outcomes.

About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Demonstrated experience in managing an indirect sales channel in a services industry
- Strong interpersonal communication, teamwork and negotiation skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including strong public speaking ability
- Superior time management skills, and ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Qualifications
Completion of a degree in marketing/communications or equivalent with relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
