About the Role
The Manager, Domestic Admissions plays a critical role in ensuring that domestic students are admitted to Swinburne University of Technology in a timely, efficient, and effective manner. The role requires strong knowledge and experience in managing the selection and admissions of domestic students, including VTAC selection processes.
Reporting to the Director, Domestic Recruitment and Admissions within the Future Students portfolio, this role leads the Domestic Admissions function and is responsible for compliance, governance, processes, and systems relating to domestic admissions. The position ensures that admissions practices are effective, compliant, and deliver a high level of customer service to prospective students and key stakeholders.
The Manager leads the high performing and experienced Domestic Admissions team, ensuring key performance indicators are achieved while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The role also provides advice and guidance to senior colleagues on process and system improvements, ensuring students are effectively supported from the point of application through to admission.

About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Demonstrated experience in the management of higher education and VE administration services with direct experience in the management of domestic admissions including policy, system and resource management
- Proven expertise in the management of people and projects including experience in initiating and managing change; prioritising, monitoring and evaluating work performance and flow; and meeting deadlines in a complex and demanding environment
- Knowledge of Australian tertiary education, university systems and procedures
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and to engage effectively with students, staff and other stakeholders from a diverse range of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds
