"Senior Development Director, Steve Sanghi College of Engineering (SCE)"

Northern Arizona University seeks an experienced, dynamic Senior Development Director to pursue philanthropic support from individuals, foundations, and corporations for the Steve Sanghi College of Engineering (SCE). The Senior Development Director is responsible for overall leadership and management of the college's development efforts. This position plans and directs comprehensive strategies for the qualification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of gift prospects for the SCE, with a primary focus on major gifts of $50,000 or more.

Responsibilities include collaborating with staff in Alumni Engagement, Planned Giving, Donor Relations, Annual Giving, Communications, and Corporate and Foundation Relations to meet NAU engagement and fundraising goals. The role involves participating in strategic planning, interacting with volunteer and advisory boards, and building strong alumni and donor relationships. Significant personal interaction with alumni, friends, prospects, and donors is required.

Key duties:

• Prioritize, engage, and manage major gifts prospects.
• Solicit and develop complex proposals for high-net-worth individuals, corporations, and foundations.
• Collaborate on principal-level fundraising of $1M or more.
• Work with SCE leadership to support priorities and coach on fundraising strategies.
• Facilitate interactions for the SCE dean, faculty, and staff.
• Participate in the university's comprehensive fundraising program.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, 3 years of management experience, and 5 years of relevant experience. Preferred: Master's degree in a relevant field.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Experience in fundraising and volunteer management, strong organizational skills, superior interpersonal skills, and ability to travel frequently.
