The International Engagement portfolio is responsible for marketing the University and its programs internationally, managing the recruitment and admission of international students, and establishing and managing international partnerships. The portfolio engages with a range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure a coordinated and strategic approach to optimise international education opportunities. The team is recognised as the driving force behind building UniSQ’s profile and performance in the international space, ensuring that our reputation as a welcoming, innovative, and high-quality institution continues to grow.

An exiting position for a Senior International Marketing and Communications Coordinator is now available within the Team!

Who you are

You’re a creative digital marketer who thrives on shaping compelling stories for global audiences. You bring experience in social media, online content creation, and data?driven marketing, backed by qualifications in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Marketing or a related field. You understand how to tailor messages for diverse cultural backgrounds and enjoy building strong, productive relationships with stakeholders.

You’re organised, proactive and confident managing multiple priorities independently while still contributing positively to a team. You communicate with clarity, maintain confidentiality, and provide authoritative advice when needed. You’re curious, innovative, and always looking for ways to improve digital engagement. An understanding of the higher?education environment is a bonus.

What you'll do

You’ll lead the creation and coordination of UniSQ’s international marketing content across digital, social, and print channels, ensuring alignment with the UniSQ brand and publishing standards. This includes shaping content for platforms such as Study in Australia, UniSQ’s corporate website, social media, and international study portals.

You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams to provide strategic advice on content, design, and promotional approaches, and work with the Domestic Engagement Portfolio to deliver an effective digital communication strategy that supports international student recruitment targets.

Your role includes benchmarking and analysing marketing performance, sourcing student testimonials, and producing insightful reports to guide best?practice marketing decisions. You’ll also supervise and mentor the International Marketing and Communications Advisor, fostering a productive and professional working environment.

You’ll help build UniSQ’s global reputation by strengthening its online presence, developing publishing standards, contributing to marketing planning, and supporting communication strategies with future students and international agents.

  • Experience developing engaging social media and digital content that resonates with international audiences;
  • Strong analytical skills, including benchmarking and data interpretation to inform content strategy;
  • Ability to consult, negotiate and communicate effectively with diverse internal and external stakeholders;
  • Proven capability to manage projects independently, meet deadlines, and deliver high?quality outcomes;
  • Innovative thinking and problem?solving skills to enhance UniSQ’s digital marketing output;
  • Leadership experience and the ability to foster positive team dynamics.

Term: Full-time continuing appointment (36 hours/week)

Salary: Total remuneration range $119,378 to $132,004 pa (includes salary range of $100,677 to $111,325 pa, employer super contributions of 17% and annual leave loading)
