Job Description Summary
The Pediatric Anxiety Treatment Center at Hall-Mercer (PATCH) is looking for a licensed or license-eligible master's level clinician to join our team full-time. PATCH provides evidence-based assessment and treatment for youth ages 4-18 with anxiety and obsessive-compulsive-related disorders at Hall Mercer. PATCH is the only designated evidence-based practice center for exposure-based cognitive behavioral therapy (EX-CBT) for youth (gold-standard psychosocial treatment for pediatric anxiety) in Philadelphia's public mental health system. The mission of PATCH is threefold: (1) Provide high-quality mental health care to youth with anxiety and related disorders, (2) Train the next generation of practitioners in evidence-based assessment and treatment for pediatric anxiety and related disorders, and (3) Advance clinical research to enhance treatment effectiveness for pediatric anxiety and related disorders for a population with historically low representation in clinical trials. PATCH primarily serves Philadelphia Medicaid youth, and approximately half of youth served identify as racial or ethnic minorities.
Job Description

PATCH provides evidence-based assessment and treatment for youth ages 4-18 with anxiety and obsessive-compulsive-related disorders at Hall Mercer. PATCH is the only designated evidence-based practice center for exposure-based cognitive behavioral therapy (EX-CBT) for youth (gold-standard psychosocial treatment for pediatric anxiety) in Philadelphia's public mental health system. The mission of PATCH is threefold: (1) Provide high-quality mental health care to youth with anxiety and related disorders, (2) Train the next generation of practitioners in evidence-based assessment and treatment for pediatric anxiety and related disorders, and (3) Advance clinical research to enhance treatment effectiveness for pediatric anxiety and related disorders for a population with historically low representation in clinical trials. Specific responsibilities include providing direct clinical services to youth in the PATCH program, including intake evaluations and therapy services. This individual will be expected to receive in-house training in exposure-based CBT, consistent with the PATCH treatment model, as well as use evidence-based assessment progress monitoring tools to guide their treatment practice. The individual also will support quality improvement efforts aimed at improving family engagement in services and increasing the cultural responsiveness of services provided. Opportunities to supervise graduate trainees and support community outreach efforts are available to interested and qualified candidates.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Qualifications - minimum qualifications for a Social Worker are Master of Science, Master of Social Work, and 2 to 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Applicants with an M.A., M.S., M.S.W., or related degree, with Exposure Therapy/CBT training and experience working with pediatric populations are encouraged to apply; experience delivering exposure therapy to youth with anxiety or OCD is a plus but not a requirement. License or license eligible in the state of PA required. Candidates who are fluent in Spanish or Mandarin are especially encouraged to apply.
