Softball Student Assistant - Federal Work Study
Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Athletics department on the Dahlonega campus. The Softball Work Study position is responsible for ensuring effective support of field and practice preparation, as well as managing team and locker room activities.
Responsibilities
- Field and practice preparation: Setting up equipment, maintaining the field, and ensuring everything is ready for practices and games.
- Team/locker room activities: Assisting with organizing the locker room, managing equipment, laundry and supporting the team with any logistical needs.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to keep track of equipment and maintain orderly storage.
- Precision in setting up equipment and preparing the field.
- Thoroughness in maintaining cleanliness and order in the locker room.
- Ability to work collaboratively with coaching staff and team members.
- Willingness to assist and support the team in various activities.
- Clear and effective communication with team members and coaches.
- Ability to follow instructions and provide updates on tasks.
- Capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting equipment and field maintenance.
- Endurance to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
