As a Student and Academic Administration Officer, you will deliver high-quality, responsive administrative services and advice to students, academic staff, and professional colleagues. Key responsibilities will include:
- Delivering accurate, timely, and helpful advice to students and stakeholders within University policies, procedures, and legislation
- Processing a wide range of student administration activities, including admissions, enrolment, examinations, and progression
- Supporting academic administration processes such as course profiles, timetabling, assessments, and grade management
- Contributing to continuous improvement by reviewing processes, maintaining data accuracy, and supporting system updates
About You
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional who takes pride in delivering high-quality administrative support and exceptional service. You will thrive in a collaborative team environment, demonstrate strong organisational and problem-solving skills, and bring a commitment to continuous improvement, along with:
- Completion of an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training.
- Demonstrated knowledge of student and academic administration processes, or the capability to rapidly acquire and apply this knowledge.
- Proven ability to effectively prioritise work, manage competing deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Well-developed written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Strong initiative, sound judgement, and the ability to work autonomously while contributing positively within a collaborative team environment.
- A customer-focused approach, with the ability to engage professionally and sensitively with students and stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a demonstrated commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Experience working within a tertiary education environment or a large, complex organisation in a related administrative or student services role (highly regarded).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience using systems such as SI-net, Business Objects, InPlace, CRM platforms, or similar enterprise systems (desirable).
