Advertised Job Summary
This position plans, coordinates, and performs complex administrative and technical activities for the Office of Academic Affairs in the College of Engineering and Computing. Responsibilities include accuracy of academic program information, degree audit implementation, advising support, and data management.
Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in a job related field and 5 or more years of job related experience, which may be substituted by an equivalent combination of job related certification, training, education, and/or experience.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple concurrent tasks and frequent interruptions.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Confident as well as conscientious and personable.
- Ability to work in a team.
Job Duties
Supervise staff (10%): Supervise, hire, train and evaluate staff responsible for student services front office duties, graduation and records management.
Front office management (20%): Manages the daily functions of the front office for staffing and provides oversight for smooth customer service experience. Manage and provide oversight for processes impacting student course registration and documentation.
Degree completion (20%): Develops and implements administrative policies and procedures for consistent degree completion and conferral for undergraduate students in the MCEC. Designs and implements college-wide processes for college progression rules & senior check processes. Serve as liaison to the registrar for DegreeWorks coding issues.
Records management (20%): Develops and implements administrative policies and procedures for the consistent processing of records and Registrar transactions. Oversight of all internal records management in alignment with all relevant accreditation bodies.
