About the Role

We’re looking for a dynamic Talent Acquisition Partner to bring our recruitment strategy to life over a 6-month fixed term contract. In this role, you’ll lead end to end recruitment for a key portfolio within the University, using strategic sourcing, targeted marketing, and creative engagement to attract exceptional talent.

Reporting to the Manager, Talent Acquisition, you’ll partner closely with hiring managers and leaders, providing expert advice, coaching, and high impact support throughout the recruitment lifecycle. You’ll champion an outstanding candidate experience, elevate Swinburne’s employment brand, and play a central role in delivering hiring outcomes that strengthen our university community.

You’ll thrive in this role if you enjoy variety, balancing a diverse workload, collaborating across the TA team, and contributing to workshops and initiatives that enhance recruitment capability across Swinburne. Your strong organisational skills and commitment to service excellence will also support the wider talent function in driving continuous improvement.

About You 

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: 

  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment and selection advice and support (in house recruitment experience is preferred).
  • Recruitment experience and expertise in Higher Education, including the development and execution of talent attraction strategies of academic staff.
  • The ability to understand complex talent requirements and develop short-, medium- and long-term strategies to address those requirements including establishing talent pools of engaged candidates for future needs.
  • High level interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Superior time management skills, and ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.

Qualifications

A degree with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and / or 

education / training.
