Position Summary

Rutgers School of Health Professions (SHP) is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant to work in the Clinical & Preventive Nutrition Sciences. Reporting to Dr. Shristi Rawal, Primary Investigator, the Temporary Research Assistant will assist with the day-to-day operations and ongoing research projects in the Rawal Nutrition and Health Lab. The Temporary Research Assistant (RA) will also work on IRB protocols, data collection and analysis, participant recruitment, and/or assist with the preparation of research abstracts, manuscripts, posters, and oral presentations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and renewal of IRB protocols.
• Assist in data collection and data analysis.
• Participant recruitment and assessment.
• Conduct literature searches assigned.
• Assist in preparation of research abstracts and manuscript drafts, revisions, and submission in collaboration with the PI and graduate students.
• Assist in preparation of posters and/or oral presentations as required in collaboration with the PI and graduate students.
• Must be willing to have a flexible working schedule for participant assessment.

Minimum Education and Experience

Bachelor of Arts or Science in public health, nutrition, psychology, biomedical sciences, or related field.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: There are no significant physical demands associated with this position.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The candidate will work primarily in Newark with some remote work flexibility. Candidate will have access to a standard computer, phone, and internet access to perform the duties outlined. Data processing licenses will be provided.

Salary

$20 per hour
