Wardrobe Supervisor/Costumer - College of Fine Arts
The School of Music is seeking a Wardrobe Supervisor/Costumer with demonstrable skills in stitching, draping, pattern drafting, and wardrobe supervision. The Costumer will serve as an on-site resource supervised by the School of Drama's Costume Studio Manager in the School of Drama's Costume Studio. Skills must include leadership, ability to listen and clearly explain/teach specific processes. Multi-tasking and time management skills are essential to complete tasks and projects according to a schedule established by the Studio Manager. In addition to being responsible for some construction, repair and alteration of opera costumes the Costumer will also create and implement plans for the successful load in, daily support, and load out of the production. Based upon professional models, the costumer will also train students in the appropriate skills to run a show and to manage the daily maintenance of production costume pieces. Knowledge of costume machinery to include but not limited to domestic and industrial sewing machines, overlock machines, and industrial irons. Advanced knowledge of garment construction materials, finishing methods, garment care, and backstage wardrobe skills are necessary.

Qualifications:
- High School or GED
- 1-3 years of relevant work experience
