"Adjunct Faculty- Surgical Technology"

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION: Assist in the development and approval of curriculum for surgical technology courses and curriculum for AAS degree. Assist with write-up for IAC and for state approval. Adjunct Faculty will be paid $681 per credit hour for this position. Sr. Adjunct Faculty will be paid $728 per credit hour. Health Sciences Adjunct Faculty will be paid $854 per credit hour.

• Develop course syllabi: description, objectives, weekly schedule
• Develop list of equipment needed for labs and students
• Determine texts for the courses
• Determine potential prerequisites for courses

OVERALL PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITY: The primary and most important overall responsibility of all employees is to provide service in a pleasant, helpful, and effective manner to our students and other members of the College community.

Education Required: Graduation from a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited program to sit for CST

Experience Required: Experience in the specialty area as well as experience teaching with current license

• Ability to work with technology and learn new skills
• Ability to write read and comprehend the English language
• Knowledge of CST curriculum, accreditation guidelines
