The Office of the Vice Chancellor plays a critical role in supporting the strategic leadership and governance of the University. Job Description
As an Administrative Support Officer, you will provide high-quality administrative and reception support that underpins the effective day-to-day operations of the Office of the Vice Chancellor and Chancellery at the Brisbane South (Nathan) campus.
You will be the first point of contact for visitors, senior stakeholders and staff, ensuring a professional and welcoming experience while supporting the operational rhythm of a dynamic executive environment.
Here’s how you’ll make it matter:
You will manage the Chancellery reception function, welcoming visitors, responding to enquiries and ensuring a professional front-of-house experience.
Coordinate diaries, meetings and logistics, including venues, catering, documentation and audiovisual requirements.
Provide high-quality administrative support, including correspondence, mail processing, room bookings, visitor access and supply coordination.
Support travel, financial and procurement processes in line with University policies and procedures.
Contribute to events, workshops and executive activities while maintaining accurate systems, records and compliance standards.
This role provides valuable exposure to executive-level operations, governance processes and strategic priorities across the University. It is an excellent opportunity to broaden your Griffith experience and build capability in a supportive and collaborative environment.
This position is required to support the daily operations of the Office of the Vice Chancellor and Chancellery Office.

You will also have:
Demonstrated administrative experience in a busy, professional environment with strong attention to detail.
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative, service-focused approach.
Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and maintaining professionalism and discretion.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
What we can offer
This is a continuing, full-time position primarily based at the Griffith University Brisbane South (Nathan) campus. As Griffith is a multi-site University, you may be required to work across other locations.
Griffith University’s sites are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary Range
The full-time equivalent base salary will be HEW Level 4 range $73,623 – $77,680 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $86,138 – $90,558 per annum.
