Application & Reporting Analyst

- Remuneration: $120,443 to $131,749 pa (HEW7) (inclusive of $101,775 to $111,330 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading)
- Location: Gardens Point (hybrid option available)

Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Application & Reporting Analyst to join Student Engagement, Administrative Division.
The Application & Reporting Analyst supports the delivery of digital services and data-informed decision-making across Student Engagement. This role combines application support and reporting responsibilities, ensuring systems are optimally configured and data is effectively leveraged to enhance service delivery and student experience. Working closely with the Business Data Analyst this role contributes to application support of Unihub and reporting infrastructure (e.g. Microsoft Fabric), translating business needs into system configurations and actionable insights. This position reports to the Senior Analyst, Student Engagement Applications for career planning, development, and performance expectations.

Student Engagement comprises of HiQ Contact Centre and Service Points, Future Student & Conversion, Engagement teams. HiQ is the university’s contact point for members of the public, staff, prospective and current student enquiries and support services. Services to students and staff include general information, IT support, Library, and student administration. Engagement with future students and their orientation to the QUT student experience is a core focus of Student Engagement. The Engagement team is responsible for delivering co-curricular programs that further build QUT’s sense of community and support students to develop their professional identity, networks, and employability..
What you need to succeed
- Education, training and/or relevant experience equivalent to completion of a degree with subsequent relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and supporting digital services, including the design, configuration, testing, implementation, and evaluation of systems and processes to improve service delivery.
- Proven experience in administering and maintaining enterprise applications and reporting platforms, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and collaboration with internal and external providers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, diagnose issues, and propose solutions using sound professional judgement.
- Demonstrated proficiency in reporting and analytics tools, particularly Microsoft Power BI, DAX, and SQL, with the ability to translate business requirements into actionable insights.
- Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a collaborative approach to working with diverse clients and teams to achieve successful outcomes.
